Several other excellent courses are within 1 hours drive, these include Hexham Golf Club, Morpeth, Rothbury, Bamburgh and Slaley Hall. 	MOUNTAIN BIKING Excellent off road tracks in Kielder Forest and Cheviots. Good local knowledge of best routes. Maps available. Secure storage for bikes and equipment. Drying facilities.
	HORSE RIDING/PONY TREKKING We can arrange all accommodation, meals and rides for your trekking holiday.
	FISHING Excellent Trout and salmon fishing in the River Rede (100 meters from the guest house) and on the River Tyne, 10 miles west. Several lakes and reservoirs close by.
	BIRD WATCHING Northumbria has a wide and varied bird species. Kielder Forest and the Cheviot Hills are excellent wildlife havens. See the impressive Black Grouse courtship display (lekking) in Springtime.
